Hi there,
I apologize if this had been asked somewhere else, but i didn't find anything about it.
My problem is an Xerox 6279 Wide format, which doesn't scan anymore.
It used to be installed in another location, with only one computer there. The former Network Administrator told me that they were linked through the network (not USB cable or something like that). It worked fine, the screen was displaying the Scan to FTP and Scan to Mail options and so on. The PC to which it was sending the scanned files is an HP which had XP installed, but now it has W7, and none of the settings were kept.
After it was moved to another location, the scaning options "vanished". I changed it's IP and after installing it's printig driver (XFAInstall is the name of the file from the kitt we have from our former Network Administrator), the printing works just fine. I installed it on multiple network-attached computers and it works. But it only shows: Machine Info and Copy options on the screen.
I checked the Web Interface and in the Features Tab from Configuration menu, it says:
Scan to Net - Not Present.
Also, on the Machine Info (from the macine's touchscreen) it says something about license not being installed (scanning license).
I searched the documentation, but i wasn't able to find anything regarding the activation of this feature, and on the CD that came with the plotter, it's only it's documentation. If i Run it, it opens my default web browser.
Could you please give me some advice about this? How to activate it, and so on?
Thanks.
