Does anyone else have the Xerox 5855 machine? We have had this machine since August and it has given us nothing but problems. It is a leased machine. The issue we are having is the jobs hold in the Xerox Queue with a status of processing. No errors are reported on the machine. To resolve the issue we power cycle the machine and all the jobs process during the boot up.
Technicians have come in and keep telling us that they are working out the kinks on the new firmware that will eventually be run on all Xerox machines (I hope not). They upgrade the firmware which sometimes takes all day, sometimes they lose my settings, thank god I back them up, and low and behold the same issue remains. They have claimed it has something to do with power save mode and have gone as far as disabling it but the failures remain. I'm just curious if anyone else has this machine and is having the same issue that we are or if I got a lemon.
We have other Xerox machines connected to the same print server without any issues. Jobs are sent fine and hold in processing on the Xerox 5855 printer.
