Xerox 6605

I have a Xerox 6605 for my small business approximately 6 months old. I have changed the toner a few times and now there are streaks being left by all cartridges on the copies and prints and it seems to be getting worse. Any ideas?


Xerox 7856 color print problem.

We have a new Xerox 7856 work center printer. We replaced our 1 year old 7556 because of reliability problems.
The new 7856 will not print in color from a word document (ie the yellow highlighted words in the document ) other color print files work fine, if we use the old driver from the 7556 the color shows up.
I was chastised by Xerox for using older print drivers when we had the 7556 and their service team complained to my manger about the older drivers causing all our problems.
The systems with problem are win 7 with several versions of MS word.

Xerox - Account Log Full

Hi,

We have a Xerox 9203 and today in the middle of a job it displayed the following error.

"The accounting log is full. An Account Administrator needs to retrieve the accounting data from the machine in order to restore machine operation. All machine services are disabled."

Google has produced no results and our support company are struggling, has anybody out there seen this before who may be able to help. There is no obvious way of clearing any logs on the system via the web interface or via the control panel.

Scanning issue with Xerox workcentre 5655

One of my remote office has Xerox workcentre 5655 with 5 Computers (1 XP Pro 32 bit and 4 Win 7 Pro 32 bit). No scanning issue with xp but cannot scan to any of the win 7 machine. There is no firewall, tried IP address and hostname, no Windows Live essential, Tried both ports 139 and 445 still failing, when try to scan to the SMB. The sharing and security for the scan folder is set right as I can see that folder from a different machine.

I am running out of ideas. Any idea?

Does anyone know how to generate an error report for a Xerox WorkCentre 5855. I'd like to know how often it is jamming before I yell at my service company.

We have many, many printers where I work, but one in particularly has my attention, a Xerox WorkCentre 5775.  

Recently we had our printer maintenance person come in to do some general routine work.  She informed me that this printer was installed as a new unit two years ago and has recently exceeded the 3,000,000 print job mark.   This workhorse, we have nicknamed it "Bob Marley", (because it does likes to 'jam', ) is still working like a trooper.

Have you experienced similar dedicated printers in your workplace?

Xerox WorkCentre 7556 errors

We recently leased 2 of these machines. One is working flawlessly and the other has been nothing but problems. Today it rebooted on its own and threw a random error code. I have seen a few different codes over the last two months with this machine. I have searched everywhere for the fault code list for this machine but even Xerox Support doesn't seem to have one when I called them. This new machine seems to have a new fault code format. Today's code was 303.777.00.

Does anyone have a list of the codes for this machine?


Xerox WorkCentre 5330 Web Interface

Yesterday, a user was not able to email a pdf that she scanned because the file size was too large. We recently got this printer, so I tried going to the web interface to try and change the quality settings. They were nowhere to be found. I am wondering if this is because I'm not logged into the web interface with the admin user account, but unlike our other Xerox printers, there isn't a place to click at the top right-hand corner to log in. It just says "Local User." Also, I can't find anywhere in the manual about how to log in, or that I am even able to adjust the scan quality from the web interface. I ended up going to the printer, which is a rather long walk and I changed the settings from the interface on the copier. They were scanning 54 pages, and after tweaking the settings I got the file size down to 10 MB, which is right at...

Network Scan won't work

I have a Workcentre Pro 55. Network scanning (copier scans to PDF and stores to a shared folder on the network) is currently working pointed to a shared folder on a workstation. I've tried using all the same settings and pointing it at a shared folder on another workstation, and on my file print server, with no success. There must be something I'm missing. Has anyone had similar problems and figured this out?

Addendum 1 - Network scanning = copier scan to PDF and stores on network share.

Addendum 2 - I doug the Xerox site for some time after reconfiguring everything I could think of. Found a document that said the account used for logon must be a local account with admin rights. I had been trying to use a domain account with local admin rights. That change got it working! But it messes up my second request because my file server is also...

Xerox Workcentre 4260 Scan to PC

Hello,

I am having a heck of a time setting up scan to pc via SMB. The machine I am trying to set it up to is a windows 7 machine. There is another machine in the office that has been set up by the machines company we lease it from. The problem is they want to charge a lot of money to come out and set the new one up.

I tried to copy the configuration of the other computer in the scanners settings with no luck. I either get a credentials incorrect (which i am using the correct credentials to the computer) or connnection to server failed.

Does anyone have any step by step instructions on how to set this up? Any help would be appreciated.

Xerox Workcentre 5755 - Can't Scan to Windows Server 2012 R2

We have two Xerox Workcentre 5755's. Both are on the same firmware (the one released around the first of April.) One of them can scan to our new Windows Server 2012 R2 file server and the other one can't. It goes back and forth between REMOTE DIRECTORY LOCK FAILED or LOGIN FAILED. CHECK USER PASSWORD AND/OR SETUPS.

I've reentered password, reset password, tried a new user account for the sever, clones the machine and Xerox has been out with no results. I've even got Level 3 XMC people looking into it, No resolution.

Changing the port from 445 to 139 worked for about 3-4 scans and it stopped. Same goes for changing back to 445. It is strange that the back copier is totally fine.

I've done searches and it says that there was at one time an issue with SMB with these copiers and server 2012 R2. There was also a patch released to fix it the...

Force secure print without the option to change it?

Hi all,

Somehow, our Xerox printers (both WorkCentre 5655) have been configured so that the only option under "Job Type" within the printer properties is "Secure Print" - it's grayed out so it can't be selected at all (see attached screenshot). For the life of me I can't figure out how it was forced like this.

I am creating a new print server to replace the one we are currently using and would really like to force the Secure Print option again. Anyone else come across this before and recall how it was done?

Xerox 5855 Issues

Does anyone else have the Xerox 5855 machine? We have had this machine since August and it has given us nothing but problems. It is a leased machine. The issue we are having is the jobs hold in the Xerox Queue with a status of processing. No errors are reported on the machine. To resolve the issue we power cycle the machine and all the jobs process during the boot up.


Technicians have come in and keep telling us that they are working out the kinks on the new firmware that will eventually be run on all Xerox machines (I hope not). They upgrade the firmware which sometimes takes all day, sometimes they lose my settings, thank god I back them up, and low and behold the same issue remains. They have claimed it has something to do with power save mode and have gone as far as disabling it but the failures remain. I'm just curious if anyone...

Xerox WC7845 accounting issue

I have a WC7845 setup for various users being assigned to various group accounts.

The issue I am having is around the assignment of a User to a Group Account.

I am using "Xerox Standard Accounting" in case that has influence on my issue.

Eg:

create user: 5555

create group acct: 5555

assign user 5555 to group account 5555, set limits etc.

This all seems to work except........there is a "default for new users" account under "Group and General Accounts". If I "edit" this 999999 account is shows 8 of the 14 user accounts assigned to this Default Group Account. I try and remove all users from this account, save, and they all come right back. I cannot remove users from this account. And I do not understand why 8 of 14 are only checked....?

Anybody know if I can throw a 500GB HDD into a Ricoh MP C2050. I'm getting the error: SC441, which indicates that it's a HDD issue. There's no place to buy a 60GB HDD anywhere around here, so is it okay to just pick up a 500GB one?

Xerox 3550: document feeder not feed paper

We have a Xerox WorkCentre 3550 and is quite new (26000 impressions). The document Feeder (60 sheets) doesn't feed papers well. We have to push papers by hand into very depth before the feeder can catch and move papers.

Please help on how to fix this issue. Any instruction, suggestions or documents are welcome. If We have to replace any parts, please also advise where we can find the parts.

xerox WorkCentre 3325 ldap query failed

Hello SpiceHeads,

We recently bought a Xerox WorkCentre 3325 for the office and I am trying to get the Scan to Email to see our Global Address Book.  I have run through all the settings multiple times and I keep receiving a "LDAP Query Failed" messages.  I believe it is reaching the LDAP server, if I change a setting it gives me the message "cannot reach LDAP Server".  Has anyone else run into this?  If so did you find a fix?
